大連三十七相位于大連西崗區(qū)老城核心區(qū)，場地處于半山之間的臺地之上，北望海港，由一座始建于上個世紀(jì)七十年代的工業(yè)遺址改造而來。新的園區(qū)容納了復(fù)合的業(yè)態(tài)，并最終成為一個開放的、有活力的城市節(jié)點。建筑的設(shè)計語言取自大連標(biāo)志性的山與海的地域特征，使得建筑形象與城市精神充分契合，構(gòu)建起建筑與人的情感交流，賦予建筑新的視覺想象。建筑改造以輕介入的方式，與周圍環(huán)境形成強(qiáng)烈反差，創(chuàng)造出令人印象深刻的新舊對比與共生。

Transformed from an abandoned factory , Dalian 37 Xiang is located halfway up the mountain side with a main aspect towards the harbor in the north of the city. The new park accommodates a variety of business types and eventually becomes an open and vibrant urban node. The design is inspired by the geographical features of Dalian's iconic mountains and adjacent seas, creating a new architectural image that echoes the spirit of the city, establishing a spiritual connection between the building and people by endowing the building with a new visual imagination. Through a light intervention, the new building forms a strong contrast with the surrounding environment, creating an impressive juxtaposition of old and new and symbiosis.
